NOTE: DISC is a behavior assessment tool based on the DISC theory of psychologist William Moulton Marston, which centers on four different behavioral traits, which today are called: dominance(Dominant/Driver), influence (Inspiring/Expressive), support (Amiable), and conscientiousness (Cautious/Analytical).
The study of temperaments goes back as far as twenty-four hundred years ago. Both scientists and philosophers, perhaps most notably Hippocrates, began to recognize and categorize differences in behavior that seemed to follow recognizable patterns.
Dominant/Driver personalities are outgoing and task-oriented.
Inspiring/Expressive personalities are outgoing and people-oriented.
Supportive/Amiable personalities are reserved and people-oriented.
Conscientious/Analytical personalities are reserved and task-oriented.
